The dry 2006 growing season was an excellent one for shiraz with moderate temperatures producing fruit which achieved the perfect balance between varietal aromas and ripe fruit characters. Each variety was fermented separately before being carefully blended before being dealt 18 months of oak treatment in French barriques.
Spicy shiraz aromas dominate with uplifting floral notes courtesy of the viognier, while the palate is lively and rounded with good fruit weight and soft ripe tannins on the finish.
