The 2007 growing season was warm and dry in Mount Benson (from which the fruit for this wine was exclusively sought this year), offering lower-than-average yields with exceptional intensity at all levels. delivering medium yields and achieving warm and well-balanced fruit characters. All batches were fermented separately in stainless steel fermenters and matured in French barriques for 18 months before being carefully blended.
This blend of 90% cabernet and 10% merlot has an elegant bouquet of plum with hints of lavender and dusty oak, while the palate is medium-bodied offering bursts of mulberry balanced by well-integrated oak.
