Cape Jaffa Wines :: Cellar Door Sales

The cellar door building is a story of sustainability in itself, built of recycled timbers and local paddock rock.  The barrel hall alongside it has been dug into the limestone ridge, affording a cool, dry area perfect for storing maturing wines.

Offering breathtaking panoramic views from the vineyard's highest point, the stunning and desirably rustic Cape Jaffa cellar door was built in 1996 from paddock rock collected at the site and a once woolstore floor for its ceiling. This melding of freestone and old timbers creates a unique wine tasting experience for domestic and international visitors alike. The design of its adjacent barrel hall, cleverly dug into a limestone ridge, creates a space which controls temperature and humidity without any additional energy requirements throughout the year.

The cellar door offers Cape Jaffa's certified biodynamic La Lune, Cape Jaffa and Brocks Reef wines for tastings, as well as olive oil tastings, local almond sales and cheese hampers available to eat in house or take away.  Luncheons are also available for groups by request - contact leah@capejaffawines.com.au for bookings.

Visitors are welcome to stay as long as they like, either by the roaring fire inside or make use of the barbeque facilities onsite during the warmer months.  We are a wheelchair-friendly complex.
