2006 LA LUNE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Tony Love, Adelaide Advertiser, 4 June 2008
"Unmistakable blackcurrent and elderberry aromas, just a touch of violet and cigar-like herbals and spice, and a medium-bodied weight with fine powdery tannins gives this recently certified bio-dynamic wine a great sense of varietal truth. Then there's an '06 shiraz that's like sprinkling white pepper over Satsuma plum. Inventive labelling, too... 93 points."

2006 LA LUNE SHIRAZ
Philip White, Adelaide Independent Weekly, 13 June 2008

“From the Hooper family’s recently-certified bioD vineyard on the Limestone Coast—where there are NO MOUNTAINS—we get this spicy, hearty, lively Hermitage-style shiraz with its volume jigger on full blast. It’s almost intolerably wholesome and fruity in the old xmess pud manner: I can see Mum with it all up to her elbows in the mixing dish in late November when I get off the school bus. The unbleached cotton twill labels are too small to wrap puddings, but you can iron ‘em onto your shirts if the rats get ‘em. Luny? Nope. Eminently sensible, utterly delicious… 93 points.”

2005 CAPE JAFFA LIMITED RELEASE MERLOT
Philip White, Adelaide Independent Weekly, 22 September 2007
"Here's a South Australian merlot that'll sit right up there with Romney, Protero, and Jardim do Bomfim in the outright subliminal stakes… Moody and stewy, never mellow, with three years of good French oak contributing perfectly apt spice… 92++ points"

2008 LA LUNE ROSÉ DE SYRAH
Philip White, Drankster, September 2008
"…an explosion of vibrant healthy pink in the mouth division: tart cranberry or yellow salmonberry more than raspberry, astringent wild cherry more than sweet farmed ones. Maybe even blood orange, but with the zest of the Seville orange, which is what they use to make Cointreau, Curacao and Grand Marnier…(a) lovely, dry, crunchy rosé that would perfectly accompany some greasy smoked mackerel and chêvre on rye. 92++ points"

2007 CAPE JAFFA SAUVIGNON BLANC
Philip White, Adelaide Independent Weekly, 22 September 2007
"(Cape Jaffa's) wines already jump with the sheer concentration of flavour the best bio-D dudes display... More complexity than any Hills savvy… 93++ points"
Tony Love, Adelaide Advertiser, 23 October 2007
"...These grapes are handled with precision to reveal a mix of tropical fruits and grassiness, a stylish layer of minerality and an orange zest note. Keep an eye on this one, and also a delish 2004 cabernet… 92 points"

2007 CAPE JAFFA SEMILLON SAUVIGNON BLANC
Gourmet Traveller Wine, February-March 2008
"...Derek Hooper's latest semillon sauvignon blanc smacks of sea-fresh aromas intertwined with juicy gooseberry and lemon essence bouquet plus a hint of smoky oak… Clean tight and bright, this is a deliciously drinkable savoury dry white."
