En Soleil Pinot Gris
Style: Fresh and bright with texture.
The inspiration: Our En Soleil Pinot Gris is grown by the Koch family in Wrattonbully and the winemaking is all about preserving the exceptional fruit quality they provide us.
We add a component of Pinot Gris that’s fermented in one or two year old French barrels and aged on lees for 6 months, adding complexity and creaminess to the palate creating an aromatic and luscious style of white with texture. Deriving from the Pinot family of grapes, this pink skinned variety is picked early in the season and handled very carefully to avoid picking up colour.
Cellaring: This wine is drinking well now however it will evolve into a more tertiary and complex style in the bottle over the first two years.
Food pairing: Perfect with full flavoured seafoods like crayfish and scallops as well as most rich full flavoured Asian foods.
