Fumé is French for smoke, and this wine lives up to its name. Flint and struck match lead the nose, lifted by lychee, guava and fresh lime. The palate is generous and tropical, drawing out to a long, persistent citrus finish.
This Mount Benson Sauvignon Blanc was fermented in a combination of new Hungarian puncheon, acacia hogshead and seasoned French hogshead, then matured on lees for five months to build texture and complexity.
Pairs well with seafood, poultry, goat’s cheese and vegetable-based dishes.
Made to be enjoyed fresh. Drink young to capture its aromatic intensity and bright palate.
